Say someone tells about 10 of their friends lies about you and it really upsets you, what might they get in return? I know some people think karma is hokey, but I believe in it! How does karma work? What will this person get in return?
Well, I don't believe in ';karma'; in the traditional sense, but I do believe that everything you put into the world comes back to you at some point...if it is good and kind and beneficial, you are eventually rewarded...and if it is evil or unkind or hurtful, it is eventually going to come back to haunt you in some way.
Thing is, if you want to believe in karma, you have to also believe that whatever this person gets in return will be fair and justified. That should alleviate your need to worry or wonder about it and free you to focus on your own karma!
Kind of the same way it works with believing in God as I do...it isn't ';karma';, it is God that is in charge of justice and because I believe he will be fair and just, I don't need to worry or wonder about what happens to someone that harms me...I can simply trust that he'll make the right decision leaving me free to concentrate on earning rewards from him for my own actions. How does karma work? What will this person get in return?
its not really called Karma its called Reap What you Soe, its in the bible. we should be mindful of what we do because it always turns around and has an after affect.
if the person gossips about things that aren't true and causes another to have a nasty reputation, anything can happen, we can't always ready what ';karma'; would do, maybe that person will feel an extreme guilt. maybe that person will get a dose of their own medicine, maybe that person will get fired or moved to a tough position or develop an illness. who really knows.
i recently met one of my mom's co-workers, lets call her R. R was such a nice person when i first saw her, but then a week later, i heard from mom that she was fired. all because some over grown whinny woman got mad at R because R wouldn't take her position. so this woman saw R kind of nodding asleep and reported her. WHO DOESNT SLEEP DURING WORK! i thought it was such a very mean thing.
but i believe R will be given a much better position.
When I was 16, I stole a hunting spotlight from Walmart.
I got home to find that the damn thing was broken.
So to answer your question (';How does karma work?';) I would say that it works like a charm.
It could be anything...and possibly nothing at all, too. Maybe something will happen like, they'll get hurt physically or embarrassed, humiliated somehow...?
something bad might happen to them in 1 day or 1 year, karma is mysterious.
They will get theirs. Guilt alone for the lies will creep into their spirit.
There's no such thing as Karma.
