Could you please check my work on this math problem?

Here's the equation:

1.) 3x + 1 (is greater than or equal to) -2 OR 2x + 3 (is greater than or equal to) 5

3x + 1 %26gt;= -2

x %26gt;= -3 / 3 %26gt;= -1

2x + 3 %26gt;= 5

x %26gt;= 2 / 2 %26gt;= 1

Did I get it right?Could you please check my work on this math problem?
PerfectCould you please check my work on this math problem?
looks good

if you got back and sub in for your answers you end up being right. Its the best way to check yourself
You did them right. Your teacher may want you to show the steps of your work...

3x+1%26gt;-= -2

3x %26gt;= -2 -(1)

This is because you are taking 1 from each side of the equation, to get the x's all on one side and the numbers all on the other.

3x%26gt;=-3

x%26gt;=-1 (dividing both sides by 3)

2x+3%26gt;=5

2x%26gt;=2

(again, because you take 3 from each side of equation)

x%26gt;=1 (divide both sides by 2)

Great job!!!
get the value of x by like this

3x+1=-2

3x=-2+(-1) ( the change of sign rule)

3x=-3

3x=-3

x=-1

then transfer the value of x

3(-1)+1=-2

-3+1=-2

-2=-2 ( then the answer is it is equal)

then the next step get the value to x

2x+3=5

2x=5-3

2x=2

x=1

then transpose

2(1)+3 = 5

2+3 = 5

5=5

Then the answer is correct!!! by doing this you will be sure!!!
Seems right to me.
yep..i think you got it right! good job, keep it up.
excellent! yep..yep..
yup! it is correct
You solved each correctly, but if you are doing this as a compound inequality, then you need to give a final answer of combining the ';or'; statements into one. x %26gt;=-1 or x%26gt;= 1 combines as x %26gt;= -1
