Year 7 Geometry question: How to I work this out?

What is the size of the angle between the hour hand and the minute

hand at:

a 6:00 am? b 3:00 am? etc.

Because I know the full rotation of the clock is 360 degrees, but do you need to divide 360 by 12 or something? I'm a little bit stuck. Thanks...Year 7 Geometry question: How to I work this out?
At 6am, both hands formed a straight line splitting the clock face into half. Hence, half of 360degrees is 180degrees.

Similarly at 3am, the hands form a shape that is 1/4 of the clock face. Therefore, 360degress divide by 4 is 90degrees.

Unless the question asked for 1am 2am 4am 5am 7am 8am 10am 11am, then you would have to calculate by dividing by 12parts. Year 7 Geometry question: How to I work this out?
A.) if the big hand is at the top of the clock and the little hand is on the 6 its makes a straight line and makes 180 degrees

B.) the 3 is in the middle of 12 and the 6 then you halve 180 by 2 and theres your answer (90!!!)
a 180 b 90

You divide by 12 then times it by the hours
