You need to turn off the check box that said get responses to your questions by email. It is normally set up to automatically do this when you ask a question, unless you uncheck he box.I just joined yaho answers and am starting to get lots of emails in my yahoo mail,is this how it works?
Yes, if you asked a question, thats how you get your answer. How else would ya going to know, without going back to your question. If it a good question you will gets lots of answers.
It is if you asked a question.. when you get the best answer, that serves your purpose, you select that answer as the best, and that sets the question to resolved, and, unless you have yourself set up to receive emails from other users, will stop you from continuing to get emails about that question.. of course, sometimes, you may find that none of the answers is best, and you could, if you felt like it, delete the question, butttt, I'll bet somebody will give you a good answer..
According from your question profile. You should have gotten 6 just for responses to your question. I have not noticed any increase in spam from yahoo answers if that is your question.
Usually you only get notified when you have answers to a question you've asked. Also you are notified by Yahoo to ask if you want to extend your answer time(you rarely get answers after one day), and when you need to select the best answer to your question.
yes it is, simple and clean
