i am very dissapointed that obama is rolling back the welfare reforms made by president Clinton in the nineties. i have serious problems with many of his policies, but one of the worst things is the speed of which these things are proposed and adopted. the incredibly huge stimulus bill was done overnight without anyone truly being able to read it for the sake of saving an economy that obama himself said(yesterday, i think) is not quite as bad as he thought. even so, sweeping social programs and changes like a natinal health care plan are being touted as vital to the health of our economy, and therefore must be addressed now, with urgency, in order to avert a depression. grand changes like that should be discussed and debated in congress and in this country by you and me in detail. we must take our time and get it right. don't panic, and view things in the short AND long term.

Car companies and financial services firms have begun doing their best to recover, which they did not do under George W. Bush, George W. Bush thought just throwing money at the problem unconditionally with these clowns, Obama has began putting conditions and boundaries which is what was needed and it is begining to work, Citigroup is finally beginning to make a profit, at least 2 out of the 3 car makers should rebound back to business, the U.S. trade deficit going down from 39 billion to 36 billion(that difference is money gained back into the U.S. economy for a change), and Wall Street is beginnig to go on the rise now. Capitalism and the U.S. economy ran too many years under the Bush administration without regulations and rules of the road, don't blame Obama for what he inherited and the corporate powers that be acting less than wise in high risk and too oftentimes dishonest behavior which caught up to them. As protectors and stewards of U.S. capitalism, the U.S. economy and the American Way, Bush and Cheney get an F minus. With gatekeepers of capitalism like them, who needs Communists or enemies of capitalism and the american way?
